| 1997 - present: | Web Director, Academic Outreach and Continuing Education, University of Utah. Responsible for creation, organization, graphical "look", maintenance, and content of website, as well as supervision of web staff. Features of site include interactive distance education (online learning), online registration, and entire course/program offerings by AOCE. Responsible for site structure (information architecture), user interface design/interactivity, accessibility for disabled users, cross-browser compatibilities, graphic rendering speed and overall download time, and integration across all AOCE department sites. |
| Subcommittee chair of University of Utah Web Coordination Committee - Integration and Coordination group. I aided in creating the new structure for the primary website for the University of Utah (www.utah.edu), in the role of information architect and navigation consultant. As chair of the Integration and Coordination subcommittee, I was responsible for creating guidelines for campus webmasters and the sites they maintain, as far as standards (html and structural, primarily) are concerned. | |
| I teach the "Web Site Usability and Assessment" and "Web Site Analysis and Design" modules of our Internet Communication Certificate, offered jointly through Academic Outreach and the Dept. of Communication at the University of Utah. As part of the optional courses, I teach both "Photoshop Level I" and "Photoshop Level 2". I am an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah. | |

| 1985 - 1997: | Multimedia developer, photographer, digital imaging specialist, website developer at the University of Utah, Media Solutions dept. of KUED-7 (local PBS affiliate). Duties include World Wide Web site design, authoring, consultation, and implementation. Created Internet sites for KUED, KUER (local NPR affiliate), and several campus departments. Provide digital imaging and processing, as well as multimedia consultation, design, production and authoring. Photographic work such as studio and location photography, processing and printing custom black-and-white photographs, processing E-6 color materials, and other professional lab services assisted clients in fulfilling their more traditional photographic needs. |
| 1991 - Present: | Instructor and lab assistant, Salt Lake Art Center Photography School. Classes taught include Web Design (featuring "Creating Your Online Gallery"), Beginning and Intermediate Digital Imaging, using Photoshop (Mac and PC platforms), Basic and Intermediate Photography. |
| Digital Experience: | Includes proficiency with Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, HTML language for website development (and related technologies), as well as familiarity with Macromedia Director, Macromedia Flash, Microsoft Office, Fractal Design Painter, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, DeBabelizer and other media such as digital video editing, presentation software, scanners and output devices related to electronic printing. |
